Lesson Title: The Book that Saved the Band - Lesson 9
Synopsis: Public promotion (including perhaps a Podcast or a Band Blog).

Objectives:
- The band will create a promotion plan (scheme) for a specific period of time (once or repeated). Some ideas include:
- Podcast
- Band Blog
- Schedule Live Performance(s)
- Radio interview
- School newspaper interview
- Implement the above plan.
Intended Grade Level:
Middle School
Prior Knowledge & Skills:
- Completion of all or most of the prior lessons – 1 through 8.
Equipment:
- Equipment as required and as used in previous lessons:

- Digital camera or scanner to scan printed photos.
- Optional: Digital photo editing software such as iPhoto, Photoshop Elements, etc.
- Playback equipment for the CD party (CD player with speakers, Boombox).
- Computer with iTunes/Podcasting capabilities
Duration:
Any length of time as desired. Students can choose to follow-up and can choose promotion techniques. The teacher can be directly involved or allow the students to take full responsibility for promoting their product.

Procedure:
- Complete some or all of the procedures in Lesson 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 [add a direct link to each lesson]
- The student group members (the band) will develop their promotion plan.
- The band will implement their plan.
Note: The project can be stopped at this point or students can continue to lesson 10.
Evaluation:
- Complete and follow through with stated plan.
