Erin Contrady wins 100 Student Memberships in Tritone Online Music Systems
Thanks to TI:ME corporate member Tritone Music Education Systems from British Columbia for the 2008 Grand Prize worth $3500. Erin Contrady from Kingston, New York is the Grand Prize winner, chosen randomly from all regular members of TI:ME. Erin has scheduled her free training sessions and is looking forward to working with her students and the Triton Online Music Series Beginning Level 1 that features over 1000 interactive online lessons and activities including: tests, quizzes and exams; real-time performance evaluation; and student data tracking. In addition to the 100 student memberships, Erin received additional courseware and books. Online training and technical support are included with Tritone educational products as well.
Erin has known about TI:ME for years, as the TI:ME publication Technology Strategies for Music Education was one of her required texts in grad school at The College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. Erin joined TI:ME in January of 2008 because of the decidedly technological turn her career has taken lately. Erin says, “TI:ME is a great resource for lesson plan ideas and inspiration.”
Erin Contrady has been a music teacher for 11 years, 9 of them in the Kingston
City School District in upstate New York. She has taught vocal/general music
at the elementary and middle school levels, voice, chorus, and piano. This
year she began presenting teacher inservices on classroom and music technology.
Erin is a member of MENC, NYSSMA, AOSA, and TI:ME. She frequently judges Ulster
County Music Educators All-County High School Chorus auditions. She also has
served on Building Leadership Teams and technology committees, and district-wide
curriculum and scheduling committees.
