What's New at the TI:ME Website...

The Technology Institute for Music Educators (TI:ME) web site at http://www.ti-me.org has undergone extensive cosmetic revision since the last print newsletter in Summer of 1999 and much content has been added as well.

About TI:ME
The About TI:ME section of the web site has been updated with the names and email addresses of all current TI:ME board members. The TI:ME advisory board is an impressive group of music educators, publishers, and music industry contacts who bring a broad array of skills and knowledge to our organization. I encourage you to stop by the web site and make contact with the board.

Certification
In the Certification section of the TI:ME web site you will find information on our Alternative Certification program. We have received numerous requests to implement a certification program for music educators who already possess advanced skills in music technology. TI:ME listened and responded. If you wish to document and receive appropriate credit for your hard-won
skills in music technology, I encourage you to pursue the TI:ME alternative certification program.

Conference
The TI:ME web site is the place to go for the latest announcements and information about the second National TI:ME. The conference is being held in conjunction with OMEA and will take place in Columbus, Ohio on January 31st through February 3rd, 2001.

Publications
The Publications section of our web site now includes links to all our printed newsletters. The Fall 1998 and Summer 1999 newsletters are available in Adobe PDF format so you may download and print as many copies as you like for distribution to your students and colleagues. This will also be the place where TI:ME members can access the new online version of the newsletter. Beginning in January 2001, members will be notified bi-monthly of new newsletter postings. Look for new sections to be added to the format of the online newsletter.

Resource Links
TI:ME members have been active looking on the web for resources of interest to music educators. Browse this section for links to schools, hardware and software manufacturers, and other web sites of interest.

Summer Studies
The Summer Studies section contains a comprehensive listing of institutions offering TI:ME certification courses. The list of TI:ME affiliated institutions is growing rapidly as the word spreads about the importance of solid training when using technology in the classroom.

Projects
The Projects section of our site is devoted to showcasing innovative uses of technology in music education. Below is a list of the recent additions to our projects page. To view these resources, visit www.ti-me.org and click the Projects button on the left side of the screen.
